Meet Recap

The Dragon Girls golf team finished up in fourth place at the Anderson County Invitational golf tournament in Garnett on Monday. Hannah Holloman finished up with a nice round of 47 – 46 for a 93 on the day tying for 9th place but earning 10th due to tie breaking procedures. The tournament medalist was Fort Scott’s Lauren Madison who’s 83 lead the field.
Other dragon scores were Jamie VanWyck in 17th place witha 97, Lauren Valenzuela in 18th place with a 98, Samantha Beykirch in 22nd place with a 101 and Natalee Brake in 35th place with a 117.
It was certainly not to our advantage that most of us had never played the Garnett Golf Course before. It has its own unique characteristics.
The dragons will be hosting 5A regionals at Crestwood Counry CLub on Monday October 9th.
