Student Publications traveled to Indianapolis to attend JEA/NSPA’s National Journalism Convention. Over 5,000 students attended.

Gina Mathew and Kali Poenitske won 2nd Place in the National Scholastic Press Association’s News Story of the Year: Life after February 28. There were 922 entries in this contest.

Alivia Benedict won 1st place in the National Scholastic Press Association’s Editorial Cartoon of the Year. Her drawing was a student Snapchatting a photo that depicted the student injured from distracted driving.

Patrick Sullivan – Honorable Mention in Commentary Writing
